The business says its model empowers every hospital, shopping mall, neighbourhood and food manufacturer to transform themselves from waste-producer into food-grower, without the need for any transport or CO2 emissions along the way.
Biodegradable waste, such as kitchen waste and commercial waste, can be turned into liquid organic fertiliser and compost. Different sizes of its “digesters” can recycle between 500kg and 3,600kg of organic waste every day.
The Waste Transformers’ decentralised model democratises waste in a way that is circular and with a healthy business case. The company has projects under construction in the Netherlands, South Africa, Ghana, Sierra Leone and Dubai.
